It is with a heavy heart that I write after learning of the deaths of American servicemen in the Middle East. When I wrote WHEN YOUR DADDY’S A SOLDIER, I hoped the subject of fathers and mothers being deployed in a warzone would become obsolete. Yet once again, military children and families worry and mourn. I hope my story helps you feel less alone, a little more understood, and brings you the compassion you deserve.
