Children’s Author Event

Vintage Books invites you to join us for an author event with 6 local authors on December 8th!
This event features authors of children’s picture books, middle grade books and young adult books. We invite all ages to join us!
Jessica Brody has written and published over fifteen novels for teens, tweens, and adults including 52 Reasons to Hate My Father, The Geography of Lost Things, The Chaos of Standing Still and the three books in the Unremembered trilogy. Additionally, Jessica writes books for Disney Press, including the Descendants: “School of Secrets” series, based on the hit Disney Channel Original movie, Descendants, and the LEGO Disney Princess chapter books.
Emily Suvada was born and raised in Australia, where she went on to study mathematics and astrophysics. She is the author of the science fiction young adult titles This Mortal Coil and This Cruel Design. She currently lives in Portland, OR, with her husband.
Sheryl Scarborough is the author of teen thrillers To Catch a Killer and to Right the Wrongs and is an award-winning writer for children’s television. She holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, lives in Washington state, and has always had an obsession with forensics.
Laurel Gale is the author of the middle grade novels Dead Boy and Monster, Human, Other. She lives with her husband and their ferrets in Vancouver, Washington.
Gretchen Brandenburg McLellan is the author of children’s picture books Mrs. McBee Leaves Room Three and I’m Done! As an elementary reading specialist she has been privileged to help lots of struggling readers find a pathway into books and a love of reading, too.
Karla Von Huben is the author of the middle grade books The Youngest Elf and Other Stories, The Youngest Elf and Other Stories Further Adventures, Santa and the Goblins and The Youngest Elf and Other Stories: Snowfall and Sorcery.
All the authors will be answering questions and signing copies of their books. This event is free and all are invited!
